I think we would be open to considering the types of writing exercises used by some other NLPES offices, but perhaps the logistics have seemed a bit complicated-adding 30 to 60 minutes to the time required for the interview sfinding workspaces for the applicants to complete the exercise, having overlapping schedules some applicants being interviewed while others are doing the writing exerciseetc.
It, therefore, makes sense that we test for these skills. This information is useful for instruction and preparation for future writing assessments.
